Mike Strange
Mike Strange is Vice President and Head, Global Health Catalyst at GSK. His current responsibilities include open innovation partnerships and product strategy and access. Mike has over 20 years’ experience at GSK working in a variety of strategic and operational roles in both pharma and vaccines R&D.
For the last 10 years, he has worked in Global Health at GSK and has led the set up a number of novel collaborative initiatives including the Tres Cantos Open Lab, which provides independent researchers access to GSK facilities, resources and knowledge to help them advance their own research projects into diseases of the developing world such as malaria and TB. He also let set up of the Africa NCD Open Lab, a £25m investment to create an innovative research network for GSK scientists to collaborate with researchers across Africa on high quality epidemiological, genetic and interventional research.
Mike has an Executive MBA from London Business School. He also has a BSc in Mathematics, an MSc in Mathematics and Biology and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Hull.
