Senior Vice President, Global Supply, Becton, Dickinson and Company

Philippe Francois is the Senior Vice President in the Global Supply Chain at Becton Dickinson and Company. At the beginning of his career, he served for more than 20 years at Baxter Healthcare where he served as Head of Supply Chain, but also as Vice President SupplyChain for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Head of Operation Excellence Europe, and as Vice President in Supply Chain for Asiatic continent. Moreover, he worked at Novartis as Head of Supply Chain, where he was responsible for the end-to-end Supply Chain of Novartis group worldwide, supporting a $55B pharma business, directly accountable the quality of the supply performance in more than 120 countries, the management of the company inventory (> $5B), the overall distribution cost and the planning of the entire Novartis manufacturing network. Prior to the current role, he held the position of Head of the Supply Operations at the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, responsible to secure the procurement of roughly $1.2Bn of drugs and strengthen the supply chain of low- and middle-income countries receiving grants from The Global Fund to fight these 3 diseases.
