Associate Vice President, Global Multilateral Engagement & Strategic Alliances, MSD

Julia Spencer is an executive leader and science and health policy advisor with more than 25 years of public and private sector experience at international, national, state, and local levels. She is, currently, the Associate Vice President on Global Multilateral Engagement and Strategic Alliances at Merck. Prior to this role, she served several sectors, such as the CDC Office on Smoking and Health Information Dissemination Project, as Public Inquiry Manager and the National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors as Prevention Associate. She also served the US Department of Health and Human Services for many years, as Public Health Advisor at first and then as Senior Public Health Policy Analyst and Director of Science Policy. She worked at Merck for 7 years where she served as Executive Director and Associate Vice President in Global Vaccines Public Policy, Partnerships and Government Affairs.
