Permanent Representative of Brazil to the United Nations
Mr. da Silva Nunes has previously served as Brazil’s Ambassador to Russia and Uzbekistan since 2018. He was Brazil’s Ambassador to India and Bhutan from 2015 to 2018. Positions he has held during his career include being Chief of Staff at the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil in 2013 and Chief of Staff at the Office of the Minister of Development, Industry and Trade in 2001. Mr. da Silva Nunes has a degree in law from the University of Sao Paulo and a master’s degree in international political economics from LSE in the United Kingdom.
