Cabinet Member and Minister of Health and Prevention, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs
H.E. Rahman Bin Mohamed Al Owais is the current Ministry of Health and Prevention to the UAE. Moreover, H.E. holds several executive positions, he is the Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Board Member of Dubai Healthcare City, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award, Member of the Board of Trustees for the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Awards for Medical Sciences, Member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Foundation for Philanthropy and a Member of the Board of Trustees of Sultan bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation since 1992. Prior to these positions, he has also been the Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, in 2006, and held the position of Acting Minister of Health from 2011 until 2013 when he was appointed as Minister of Health. He also serves as Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs.
