Director General, Global Self Care Federation

Greg Perry was appointed Director General of the Global Self-Care Federation (GSCF) in January 2025.

GSCF is the global voice of the self-care life sciences industry, representing associations and companies worldwide. The industry plays a critical role in innovating and delivering self care interventions for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of various diseases and conditions.

Greg brings over 20 years of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical and global health sectors.

Prior to joining GSCF, he was Assistant Director General at the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations (IFPMA), leading engagement on innovation, access, and regulatory policy, with a focus on Africa.

From 2013 to 2017, he served as Executive Director of the Medicines Patent Pool (MPP), a UN-backed initiative to expand access to essential medicines in low- and middle-income countries.

Earlier, he spent more than 15 years as Director General of the European Generic Medicines Association (now Medicines for Europe), in Brussels where he led major policy and regulatory reforms for generic and biosimilar medicines across the EU.

Greg began his career as a policy advisor in the European Parliament and later led EU public affairs consultancies, focusing on health, environment, and single market policy.

In 2004, he was awarded the Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland for his contributions to European integration and public service.
