Emanuele was previously the Director of Health & Care at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) where he led the global Red Cross response to COVID-19 as well as the response to Ebola outbreaks in DRC. He also worked in UNICEF Mozambique as Chief of Health and Nutrition, and at the World Bank as a Senior Health Specialist before joining the Global Fund as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of the Executive Director.
