Chair of the Board, GHA – German Health Alliance, and Co-Founder & CEO, Virchow Foundation
Roland Göhde is Co-Founder & CEO of the non-for-profit Virchow Foundation which has been established in 2021 together with the Presidents of the National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, the Founding President of the World Health Summit and Friede Springer.
The Foundation is granting the Virchow Prize – Towards Health for All, with its inaugural award ceremony held in October 2022 under High Patronage of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany. Since 2014, he has been Chair of the Board of GHA – German Health Alliance, former German Healthcare Partnership (GHP), an initiative which has been jointly established in 2010 by the German government and the Federation of German Industries (BDI), and as Member of the Board of Afrika-Verein. From 2014-2024, Roland Göhde has been Senior Managing Director of German diagnostics & biotechnology company Sysmex Partec.
