Dr Anand Anandkumar
Dr Anand Anandkumar is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Bugworks, a drug discovery company that aims to discover novel pharmaceutical assets for combating Antimicrobial Resistance. He was previously Chairman and Managing Director at Cellworks Research India Pvt. Ltd, a company that pioneered the use of systems biology and semiconductor technologies in creating directed therapies in cancer care. Prior to Cellworks, Anand was the co-founding Managing Director of the India operation of SpinCircuit and Magma Design Automation. Anand has management, operations, and business development experience in the US, Europe, China and India regions. He is also co-founder of EVA, a healthcare Accelerator, and member of the Executive Committee of India Biotech Association (ABLE). Most recently, he was elected to the board of the AMR Industry Alliance.
