Head of Washington DC Office, Oxfam

Nadia Daar is Head of Oxfam International’s Washington DC Office and oversees Oxfam’s engagement and advocacy on the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund across a range of issues including the COVID-19 response and financing, inequality, public services, climate change, and civic space. Before joining Oxfam, Nadia spent seven years at the Bank Information Center, where she managed the Yemen program and was Policy Manager for the Middle East and North Africa team, promoting transparency, participation and accountability in development finance operations. She has guest lectured at several universities, is a frequent commentator on international financial institutions in major news outlets, and has been a co-host on the EQUALS podcast since 2019. Nadia holds degrees in political science from the University of Toronto and York University.
