Minister of Health, Kingdom of Bahrain
Her Excellency Jaleela bint Alsayed Jawad Hasan is the Minister of Health for the Kingdom of Bahrain. Prior to this, she was the Chief Executive Officer of Primary Healthcare Centres. Between 2008 to 2020 she was the Consultant -Head of immunization group & Expanded program of immunization manager) (Family Medicine &Public Health Consultant- Ministry of Health). Her Excellency was also a member of the National task force to combat COVID 19 in the Kingdom of Bahrain and worked as a field supervisor for the Covid-19 national testing and vaccination centres. In 2020, she worked alongside others on “improving the quality and use of immunization and surveillance data: Summary report of the Working Group of the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization, Vaccine”. She earned a master’s degree in Tropical Medicine and International Health from the University of London, and a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (M.B.B.S) from the King Faisal University.
